Roslyn Urban Forest - Crooked Tree Trail — Saturday, Jun. 3, 2023

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway

Parked in front of the Catholic Church (Immaculate Conception Church- look for the white steeple as you enter Roslyn off to the North) and walked the 0.3mi to the trail head located at the end of Nevada St. No parking fee required and a church to look over our car. Also, trail description states a toilet at the trail head but there is not. Trail essentially starts at the end of Nevada street and a house on the right. If you park at Pioneer Park there might be toilets there but definitely not on the Crooked Tree TH.

Not going to lie, its an uphill climb. The last 1/4mi is the steepest but always doable with rest in between if needed.  A lot of sections in the first half out in the sun so can be very warm on a hot day.  Shade is sweet.

Finally made it up to the fork between the Ewok trail and Main Ridge road.  Took a right and headed down Main Ridge Road to see the view of the Enchantments.  Trees have grown up significantly so the view isnt the "money" shot view but its still always lovely to see. In the East you can see the White Wind Turbines in the distance.

Decided to walk Main Ridge Road further the other direction to see if we could find a better view of Mt Stuart.  Was able to find a peek a boo thru the trees.

Returned back via Crooked Tree. Saw the top of Mt Rainier in the South on the way back.

Ran into only a handful of people and bikes and saw lots of Western Tiger Swallowtail butterflies and late Spring flowers...lupines, Soloman Seal, Columbia Lily. Beautiful sunny Saturday.
