Canyon Creek Road is in great shape! I was prepared for the worst and was pleasantly surprised.
This beautiful hike offers all the best things of the North Cascades: alpine lakes, mountain views, verdant meadows and 360 degree views of distant Cascade peaks.
The trail is in great shape and once you make it to Excelsior Pass you can do a lollipop loop up to the peak. From there, the views are endless, with Shuksan and Baker front and center.
