Awesome area! My main tip for future hikers to be very attentive as you approach the upper lakes area so that you can find the trail back down! We had a map, but it wasn't sufficiently detailed to help our initial start back down. Up at the lakes there are several trails meandering around and between the lakes and we had difficulty finding the correct trail that leads back down to Rachel Lake. After a few false starts we saw a hiker coming up and were able to confirm which trail to take back down to Rachel Lake and down to the trail head. Next time I am up there, I will be particularly attentive to landmarks as we first approach the network of lakes at the top.
