I've been meaning to stop by and check out this often-utilized day use area and loop trail in the Middle Fork for some time.
There is a nice, wide packed gravel loop path that offers multiple picnic areas with river access. Also, I observed some short spur trails that appear to cross through running water at different times of the year, that reach more secluded spots on the river. Currently these beds are dried up. Lots of salmonberry blooming.
The most popular area seems to be near the main parking area, with a wooden bridge providing direct access to a larger beach at a bend in the river. Its reasonable to not that the vault toilet however is at the second parking area, which is a little further up the Middle Fork Road and doubles as the starting point for ADA access.
