This one has been on my list for years since moving to WA, but I was always hesitant due to how over-shared it is on social media. However, it's truly a wonderful spot and a fairly moderate climb to such a beautiful payoff.
There are some holdout snowfields on the back end of the loop around the lake; poles may be helpful here for a little longer into the season.
The rest of the trail is in great shape, very hikeable by all skill levels. Plenty of stream crossings and meltwater to filter water from. I didn't see much trash on the way, but I imagine as crowds increase into summer that could change....
Get here *early* to park anywhere near the trailhead. By the time I left around lunch, the cars were lined up for miles up and down the highway.
