A really great hike, great trail, amazing lake. Thousands of trillium flowers blooming, really that many.
Lots of fish in the lake.
An old logging road converted into a trail. Read that it's also called Pine lake trail 200.
Trees over the road, 0.2 miles from the trailhead.
The gate to the forest road is closed in the winter to protect nature from people and their motorized vehicles.
Really enjoyed the trail and the hike.
Note: The WTA had left around a hundred polluting plastic marking tape/blaze years ago, it was crumbling and falling apart, plus the USFS left rusting plastic flags. This is disgusting and polluting. WTA needs to do better, use a different material (wool/cotton/wood/starch), educate all government agencies to do better. We don't need more micro plastic pollution.
