Lake Serene — Monday, Apr. 27, 2026

Went to Serene today hoping to view some avalanches. Usually you can see and hear them this time of the year. Not this time. Very little snow on the mountains. It must’ve happened already. The trail is snow free and the lake is in the process of melting. A couple of fallen trees, easy ti get over or under. Restrooms were still closed. Parking lot had about 15 cars, which seemed like a lot for Monday
