Sage Hills — Monday, Apr. 27, 2026

Central Washington > Wenatchee

We arrived at Kenzie's Landing around 4:30AM to catch the sunrise and started our hike at 5am. There is a restroom at the trailhead. The parking lot is small and can hold upto 8-9 cars.

Trail is well maintained and has gotten dusty. The trail is not really labeled once you get out of the parking lot. The trail is closed about 1.5 miles in and there are signs indicating it.The trail was clean and there was no trash on the trail. The trail is gentle and not steep and its a great family friendly hike.

Tons and tons of Balsamroot is blooming currently, but they are not that fresh. It's past peak and the wildflowers are withering. Just a few more weeks to enjoy these flowers on this trail. Lots of Lupine and Phlox are also blooming. You will be surrounded by orange, purple, white, and pink wildflowers. You can even smell their slight fragrance in the wind.

If you decide to do this trail in the later part of the day, carry water and sunscreen. It's completely exposed.

A really easy hike to see the wildflowers!
