Trip Report

Cape Flattery — Monday, Apr. 20, 2026

Olympic Peninsula > Pacific Coast

Such a beautiful trail. It is on Makah land so make sure to get your recreation pass, 20 dollars for the year. It allows you to access multiple trails in the area. The boardwalk is narrow in parts but otherwise it’s a short easy walk for kids and adults alike with an incredible view of seastacks, caves, and wildlife. We saw gray whales nearby Tatoosh Island breaching and spouting I would highly recommend  binoculars. Fishing for rockfish the next day we got to see the views from below  rainbows of starfish, sea lions and even sea otters could be glimpsed.
