Want to see some urban wildlife? Head to Edmonds! Sea lions have taken up residence on the rocks and docks across from the Edmonds Marina. Just park on Admiral way or nearby and follow the echoing barking sounds.

Brants (small, black & white geese) continue to enjoy their seasonal stopover at Brackett’s landing, where they rest and munch on eelgrass en route from Alaska to the southern west coast.

Highlights from a brief visit to the Edmonds Marsh includes a golden-crowned sparrow and marsh wren, whose singing voice is much louder than his little body would suggest.

Bonus: Some folks created a cool compass rose in the sand. An ephemeral work of art.

Here’s to springtime in Washington!
