I took the day off today because that's my new rule for the first day back after an all day Special Olympics event. This is also my first green hike since October. Time to let the mountain snow do its melting thing and wait for mountain flowers in a few months. Little Si packs a punch in its low mileage. You hit elevation gain right away like a lot of the North Bend hikes. There's dog poo on both sides of the trail in that early incline. Everything else was splendid. Dry but not slippery scary dry and green of every color. A tree is down right before the final lookout. It makes that little section a bit awkward. Everyone was full of hellos, the bathrooms were clean, and there was almost no trash on the trail. Coolness.
