Stimpson Nature Reserve — Sunday, Apr. 19, 2026

Followed both the larger and the smaller loop counterclockwise, for a total of under 5 miles.

Road Conditions. Paved parking lot with well-maintained vault toilets.

Trail Conditions. Smooth trails, no obstacles, good signage.

Highlights. Birds were singing and wildflowers blooming (incl salmonberry, bleeding heart, trillium, and skunk cabbage). Lots of big trees.

Crowds. The parking lot was almost full at 11am. Encountered a dozen or so parties on the trail, all hiking or running (no dogs or bikes allowed).
