Skyline Trail Loop — Wednesday, Apr. 8, 2026

Monday was my first day back on something with elevation gain but I was huffing and puffing so I had to try again. I'm happy to report the huffing and puffing was much better. The snow was not. It's choppy and soupy and slushy and mushy. Crunchy before 9, slippery as heck after that. The roads were fine, but if you are looking to get there really early, watch out of melting snow that froze over night. I say this each spring, but I think this is my last snowshoe until the fall/winter.
