Saturday Feb 28 started at 9am. Trail is completely snow free. Intermittent small patches of snow around mile 3.5. Brought poles which was helpful into and out of the washout.
Washout has scarce pink ribbon telling you to travel up above the washout and navigate around. For me it required both hands and feet to step up and around roots and rocks, and navigate slick river stones. Take your time, don't rush yourself or others.
Stairs down to the base are solid, beware the wood is snot slick when wet! Step mindfully to the falls. They were a trickle today, hopefully more robust in a few weeks or so.
When we returned 4h later we tracked 9 miles and 850' elevation. The forest floor was verdant and trees were stunning.
A long walk for those that like the journey more than the destination.
Road and the potholes are completely filled in. Should be navigable by most vehicles.
