Lake 22 — Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026

Left for the hike at 6am Drive up to the trail head was good up until about 6 miles out the roads got really icy and my Honda civic could kinda handle it, I was going 5-15 under in some parts. Started the hike at 7:15 no snow until the last mile of the hike but there are some trees that are down, and it was a bit icy on the way up. No crampons/micro spikes needed personally but not ridiculous to use them. Lake was frozen over for the most part and I walked on it and it looks beautiful. Reached the top at around 8:45. My dad was tagging along was totally fine through out it too. Took us about the same time to get down and it was a great hike.
