We got to the trailhead around 8 am. There were no other cars in the lot.

The trail is overall is good condition. There’s tons of birds, squirrels and chipmunks along the way —some fungi but not much. It was 25*F when we started and about 37* when we got back. We didn’t encounter any slick areas.

Highlight: there’s hair ice on the trail! So neat!
