Beautiful fall day with the mountain out! Parked at Tipsoo Lake at 830am and parking in all lots was already full - the line for the restroom was also already a dozen people long - by the time we finished the hike the road was lined with parked cars and lots of people were circling waiting for a spot - get there early!
The fall foliage was at peak color - lots of reds and yellows from the bushes. The trail was slightly muddy in places, and it had frosted overnight so there were some light ice patches too, but nothing that would require any special shoes or gear.
Definitely hike this one clockwise - having the mountain straight ahead for the last third of the trail is something we wouldn’t have wanted to miss.
