Did this as a day hike. Arrived at 8am on a Saturday to Thunder Creek trailhead with a fair number of parking spots open.
Ruby Mountain trail itself was pretty frustrating to hike on because of the blowdowns, overgrowth and random parts that go straight up. But I had no trouble keeping with the trail. But I was so, so excited to get off of the Ruby trail and return to the maintained trails back to the trailhead lol. Encountered no one on Ruby and no major wildlife to be seen.
Unfortunately it's been hazy lately but views are still pretty good!
Garmin told me 17.8 miles and 6500ft gain. 4:15 up and 3:30 down with some light jogging. I got by with 4L of liquids. Pretty grueling day.

Nice work. This is a goal of mine. Wanted to backpack it but may just day hike it first. Thanks for the update!
