Marcus Trail — Wednesday, Jul. 3, 2024

Eastern Washington > Okanogan Highlands/Kettle River Range

Great hike, beautiful flowers blooming in the meadows.

The trail is not very well traveled so is kind of overgrown in spots. Not hard to follow if you pay attention. A few short muddy stream crossings. Had a bear sighting, it was uninterested in us!

We stopped at the intersection of the Kettle Crest Trail and turned around.

This is one of the most beautiful flower-filled hikes I’ve been on. Surprised we didn’t run into any other hikers.

The forest service road up to the trail head is very smooth.
