Big Four Ice Caves — Sunday, Jun. 30, 2024

Hiked on a slightly rainy Sunday at 11am - the weather meant the trail wasn’t very busy at all, and we had great misty views all day! There are a few caves open right now, with a lot of snow left on the avalanche slope. With all of the wildflowers in bloom, this is an excellent time of year to go. Also, some really interesting birdwatching at the boardwalk, if that’s your thing! Just be aware - the bathrooms were the roughest I’ve ever seen.
