Born 1944, Baden-Baden, Germany. Emigrated to US in 1950. Naturalized US citizen in 1957. High school at Central High in South Bend Inidana. Attended IU at South Bend and graduated with MA in Math from U of CA at Chico 1972. Moved to Kent WA in 1974 to start a 26 year career with The Boeing Co, aviation software engineer. Married Karen in 2008. Joined first WTA work party in 1999 with Greg Winters, Indian Heaven week-long and was awarded asst. crew leader position 10 days later by Greg Ball. Learned crosscut sawing from Greg Winters and Greg Ball--loved it ever since! Increased crosscutting skills by Brigitte and George who issued my B-cert. Joined BCHW and was awarded crosscut/chain saw C-cert and I/C cert in 2013. Like to attend WTA day trips, lead BCRTs and fill in trip leading where needed. Like to attend BCHW, PCTA and WTA logouts. Hobbies include skiing, shooting, simulator flying, wilderness canoeing, leading scrambles trips for Tacoma Mountaineers.
