I am a dog-loving nature enthusiast who lives in Tacoma. I grew up in the southeast, and I've hiked in many of the 50 states. My goal is to hike all over Washington state. I love long day hikes, and I'm crazy about color - from fall foliage to summer wildflowers to the deep blues and greens of glacier fed ponds. I am very lucky to live in Tacoma - so centrally located to Western Washington's mountains and waterways. My other obsessions are standup paddleboarding, kayaking, and reading books.
