As reported on The Signpost Blog Feb 12, the Omnibus Public Lands Management Act of 2009 remains pending before the House of Representatives. Having overwhelmingly passed the Senate 71-21, backers are eagerly awaiting the anticipated passage of the bill. Enthusiasm is ramping up here in Washington State as well. Today, the Seattle Times published a front-page feature on how the act would impact the Pacific Northwest Trail.
