WTA's hiking guide is the most comprehensive database of hikes in Washington, and comprises content written by local hiking experts and user submitted information. All data is vetted by WTA staff. This resource is made possible by the donations of WTA members.

Manastash Ridge - Prater Trail

Lost Lake

At one point this may have been a viable recreation option but the land managers have confirmed there is no public access to this trail or this lake at this time. This route leads through private property and the lake itself is off-limits to the public.

Lake Julius and Loch Eileen

Little Wenatchee River Road Snowshoe

Starting from the west end of Lake Wenatchee, this snowshoe along a snowy forest service road is a great way to get out in the snow on a relatively flat and wide trail. Side roads offer an uphill route to a viewpoint or you can meander down toward the river and turn back at any point you please.
Lichtenwasser Lake Snowshoe
Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - East
This snowshoe route follows Smithbrook Road north from Highway 2, then leaves the road to climb across open terrain to Licthenwasser Lake. This route requires routefinding skills and the ability to read and navigate through avalanche terrain.
Lennox Creek (Dog Mountain)

Follow the popular Icicle Ridge trail into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness to Lake Margaret. A typical alpine lake, Margaret features campsites, trees, boulder fields, and granite cliffs. There are also fish in the lake available for fishing. At the junction with Icicle Ridge and Frosty Wildhorse, this lake is a great destination for an overnight trip with opportunities to connect to other lakes and trails.
Lake Kulla Kulla

One of the hundreds of lakes in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Lake Kulla Kulla is visible from the top of Mount Defiance but not accessible via formal trails.

Lake Donald

The highest and loveliest of the Scottish Lakes, Lake Donald is reached via a way trail 1/2 mile and 500' above Loch Eileen.
Lake Augusta

The way to Lake Augusta is rough. It's a steep and brushy trail that doesn't see much maintenance. But the destination is worth it; the lake is gorgeous, set in a basin at the bottom of Big Jim Mountain. It's a wonderful spot for wildflowers and backpacking trips late into the season.
Keystone Ridge

Judi's Peak

Jolly Mountain via Sasse Ridge Trail

Use this route to access the summit of this Teanaway peak, and you'll be pleased to find it's half as short as the standard 13-mile roundtrip approach. The trailside environment is stark, since this area burned recently, and while life is rebounding here, it’s still more austere than jolly. Note that this summit is also accessible via the West Fork Teanaway Trail, Yellow Hill, and Jolly Creek or Paris Creek, though all those are multi-mile treks, deserving of overnighting, or at least a very early start.
