Several blow downs on the Skokomish side but not too hard to get around. Trail hard to follow in places on the Satsop side. Beautiful old growth hike. I'm pleased that this area was not logged, it was slated for logging. More people should get out onto this trail! 7 miles round trip with 2,800 feet total elevation gain.
Satsop Lakes were beautiful as usual with lots of newts coming up for air. Some snow near the pass but no big deal. Lots of flowers near the pass made it feel sub-alpine. Great hike!
