Snow patches began at about Midnight Creek (4,500 ft level), and after the 3rd crossing of Robinson Creek the trail was lost under the snow. Continuing on to Robinson Pass, though, is easy even if the trail is snow covered. The trail on the other side of Robinson Pass was wet and muddy, with an increase in the number of downed trees. One helpful hint: 9 miles north of Robinson Pass the map shows a T junction, and the continuation of trail #478 turns left at the junction and crosses the Pasayten River (on a footbridge). 1.5 miles shy of the T junction is an unmapped T junction, where I turned left, and at a sharp U-shaped bend in the river I forderd the river, not knowing that there's a footbridge further down. It is possible to follow trail 478 to the Pasayten Airstrip, but beyond that is a very long burned section, where there's thousands of fallen trees over the trail.
