Trip Report
Fragrance Lake, Larrabee State Park - South Lost Lake Trail — Tuesday, May. 20, 2003
Puget Sound and Islands > Bellingham Area
We went on this Hike as a Backup to our planned hike up Mt. Dickerman, as we were waved off by the Verlot Ranger Station because of the weekend snow. Went up to Chuckanut Mountain and did 2 hikes for about 10.2 miles. Started from Clayton Beach Trailhead on Highway 11. We took the Non-Motorized Multiple use trail. Road/trail up to Fragrance Lake was good and it was muddy and wet around lake. Back tracked and the went to Lost Lake. Trail was good until we hit west side above the lake and down into the North End. Mud and water on trail were in abundance. And bugs. This was a good warmup hike.
