Central Cascades > Entiat Mountains/Lake Chelan

Had the great pleasure of hiking the 7 miles up to Emerald Park from Lucerne dock last week. Myself and a co-worker cut out all the logs over the trail so it is clear and in good shape most of the way. Could use a little drainage work and a lot of brushing but I understand from Russ (Ranger Ross) that a contractor is going to do that soon. There was about a foot of snow at Emerald Park when we got there but it was no problem walking on it. It is definately worth the 3200+ climb up. If a person has longer they can climb the real tough trail up to Mirrow Lake. I hear it is also worth the trip. Hope to do that some day.
