Trip Report

Old Snowy Mountain - Elk Pass — Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998

South Cascades > Goat Rocks
The South Cascades - Wildfowers are in full bloom here and the buzz is not too bad if you take the ridge trail from Berry Patch to Goat Lake. We saw a herd of about 25 goats foraging on the ridgeline above Goat Lake. Others told us that they saw a herd, probably the same, along the PCT past it's intersection with the hike to Old Snowy.
