Green Mountain — Saturday, Jun. 6, 1998

North Cascades > Mountain Loop Highway
Now we know why they call it green mountain. What a beautiful sight. There were a variety of wildflowers in bloom on our trip. The road leading up to the trail was clear and well maintained. We had great weather, not too hot and not too cold. It was a bit foggy at the top, but we still managed to get views of various peaks like Glacier Peak, Mt. Pugh, White Chuck Mountain and Dome Peak. The lookout is closed due to poor structural integrity. We had a couple of great glissades at the top.
