The trailhead is 21
miles down the illabot forest road off of highway 530 about 4 miles south of Rockport. There is a typical large trail head sign at the corner by a concrete bridge. The trail is fine for 1.5 miles until slide lake where there are about 10 nice camp sites along the lake. The trail continues along the the left side of the lake at water level and then starts to head up the creek drainage for 2.5 miles to Enjar Lake. The trail gets much rougher but is still easy to follow. The views from enjar lake are nice to the end of the valley and the peak. I do not think this hike is worth the 45-60 min drive along the logging road unless you are also doing the Jordan Lake hike further up the road.
