The dog and I headed out for the Pilchuck River trail since we haven’t done it in over a year. This one is also labeled as P-5000 Rd on the WTA site. Very flat out and back that gets you 7ish miles and 700’ of gain. We decided to go off the main trail and make this a loop hike using old logging roads and trails to get back to the parking lot. Saw only two groups on the main trail and no one on our loop. Plenty of parking around noon on a Sunday. Posting our loop in the photos should anyone like to make this hike a little longer with more elevation gain.

I have tried for years to get WTA to change the name from P-5000 to Pilchuck River Trail. No luck so far.
Maybe I'll go after Google instead - they call it the 'Sherrer Road Trail' for some reason.

Mato - I have been following your reports for years - and knew this was tied to you P-5000 Rd reviews. Thanks for the intel on this hike over the years. It’s time the WTA matches up the name to what everyone else uses - Pilchuck River Trail. Hope to catch up with you on the trails some day soon!

Surfer Dave, can you please add a link to the wta page for this hike? Not found under P-5000 Rd nor under "Pilchuck River Trail". Thanks.

For some reason it doesn’t exist on the WTA page. I found it on Alltrails listed as Pilchuck River trail. It is in Granite Falls not far from the Lime Kiln trail.
