Talapus and Olallie Lakes — Monday, Apr. 1, 2024

The first half of the trail is 80% snow free then it's snow covered with a very navigatable compact snow trail the rest of the way after the first bridge, spikes or traction were very much appreciated after that, especially coming back down from the lakes. there are a few trees down but fairly easy to over or around. I really enjoyed this trail and the elevation felt reasonable the whole way. I'm thankful for the crews that make and work on these trails for us! Please remember to not liter and pack out, that means orange peels too...
