We chose close to home, (last minute outing), to Marymoor Park. Parking near the Clise Mansion, we found a dollar and paid to park. That lot was very empty. The parking lots near the dog park were very full.
We strolled along the length of Clise Mansion and over to the end of the dog park along the river. Many ducks and birds in that end of the sparkly river! I'll forever love how that weir just blends in.
Enter the dogs. Many and of all sizes and shapes. The happiest ones looked wet. :) Towering way above their heads were the herons nests, way up in the trees. All the nests appeared full, with quite a bit of heron action flying back and forth with sticks.
From there we went to the bottom of the lake, going back through the bird area and eventually back to our lot.
