Another winter trip to the Miller Peninsula. This time we parked at the junction of Diamond Pt. Rd and Aerospace Rd. Just enough room for two cars here without blocking the gate. There are a few more spaces an 1/8 mile to the south off the road. This was 5 mile loop down the Fireweed Rd/Beach trail to the beach that looks out over the Strait, really close to Protection Island. Made a loop by taking the West Diamond Pt. trail back to Aerospace Rd. and then back to the trailhead. Everything inside this large, state-owned parks property is really well signed now. Lots of hikers and mt. bikers out and about.
