Driftwood filling the West Beach parking lot

I hiked the North Beach Trail from North Beach to West Beach.  As a result of a recent storm coinciding with a king tide, there is a LOT of driftwood covering the parking lot at West Beach.  The parking lot is closed for now.  Also the road down to the camp store is closed.

The sun was shining.  It was a beautiful day for a hike.  Of course with the recent winter rains there were a number of muddy spots on the trail.  There was also a small tree down across the trail about 200 yards from West Beach.  I carry a folding handsaw in my backpack, so I was able to remove a few limbs to clear the trail.
