Trail was in excellent condition! Started out on bikes with the plan to lock them up at the newest washouts and hike the rest of the way to the falls. So impressed and thankful to NP workers and volunteers who made it possible to get all the way to the footbridges into the campground. Trail was cleared and gravel in place to make it accessible on bikes. As always a beautiful day on the mountain!!

I'm considering biking this trail with my family. My wife and I have hybrids with 28mm and 35mm tires. The new gravel in that photo looks a little large and loose. Is it safe to assume that the new gravel is on relatively short sections of the trail, and the majority of the trail is smoother, as in this photo from 12/16/2023? https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/trip-reports/trip_report.2023-12-16.1543903678

Yes gravel is in short sections. A bit loose but I was able to get through no problem. Easy to walk bike through if necessary. Hope you are able to go and enjoy!!
