We arrived to the parking lot at 9 am on a nice, relatively warm Monday morning after almost 10 days of constant rain. We took Woody Trail all the way to the Upper Falls. It took us about 1 hour 25 minutes with all the stops at Small, Lower and Middle falls viewpoints. There is a lot of water in the Wallace River and the falls are spectacular. Woody Trail was in really good condition, surprisingly not very muddy. After the last Upper Falls viewpoint there is a clearly visible trail marked by metallic diamonds which took us to the forest road. From there it is less than 2 miles to Wallace Lake. The road is flat, there is no elevation gain anymore. There is a nice viewpoint on the left side almost immediately after you reach the road. Just before reaching the lake the road was flooded, water was deep few inches but somehow we managed to get through without getting water in our boots. At the next fork we took right to get to the little campground and toilet (stocked with little damp toilet paper and antibacterial soap) and a viewpoint at the lake. After crossing the North Fork Wallace River which is flowing from the lake we took Greg Ball Trail back to Woody trail. Greg Ball trail was very pleasant walk, almost no roots, rocks etc. We came back to the parking lot shortly after 1 pm. Total hiking time was 4:05 hours and about 10 miles both on Strava and Gaia.
