This was a scouting hike for Gray Wolf Trail Crew. We had fine weather, and found the trail to be in pretty good shape. Not much brush. There are 15 logs that are either leaning or down across the trail, but none pose significant obstacles. The photos for this trip report aren't scenic, they're just records of logs that require clearing.
The slide wasn't too difficult to negotiate, but it could stand a bit of treadwork to make it a bit safer. It's sketchy enough that some hikers might decide that the prudent choice is to turn back at this point.

Once can count on it: After every storm this trail suffers some trees down. It just had been cleared a year ago. In regards to the slide: I suppose it is to be re-treaded every year for every body to feel comfortable and safe. On the other hand, the slide is not steep enough for any fall to be serious. There will be hikers that are comfortable and will traverse that slide independent of the condition. Others are just not that comfortable. I suppose this is the way it is. Thanks for doing all that work.
