This was a nice trail to see the arch. The day was overcast, but no rain. The ground was a little muddy in places, but easy to walk around. We enjoyed walking up the hill with views in all directions. We left the parking lot and first headed on the Catherine Creek Loop trail. It was rocky and I wish I wore my hiking shoes with heavier soles than my trail runners. At the top of the ravine, there is low fencing to prevent people from viewing the arch from above. When we finally headed downhill, the trail becomes less rocky and much easier to walk on. The arch is spectacular. I’m sorry that one cannot access the base of the arch.
