Gorgeous day. I arrived around 2:30pm, and even though there were folks parked down the street, there were a few empty spots available in the parking lot. Got lucky. It wasn’t nearly as busy as I thought it would be for such a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The trail is in great shape, and with the recent rain I expected mud, but there were only a handful of very small wet/muddy spots.
Gaia measured the hike at 4.42 miles round trip, and 1,270 feet of ascent.most of the trail is fairly steep, so it’ll get your heart pumping. Took me 2hrs 16mins round trip, with an additional 10-15 minutes hanging out at the balcony.
