Wiley Slough - Fir Island, Leque Island - Stanwood Levee Trail — Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023

I thought Wiley Slough would be fun for a full moon hike but sadly, it is still closed for construction. See link below. 
I settled on Leque Island. We bundled up and quickly made our way to the bench at the end of the levee. Shared a thermos of piping hot chicken soup and listened to the occasional quack or peep from the birds out in the darkness. 
Not many stars because of the full moon but Jupiter and Saturn were there and that’s pretty cool.
