Easy, gentle hike, and the lake is gorgeous. It took me and my partner about 3 hours, including lots of time spent taking photos on the way up/down and chilling out at the lake eating some snacks. There were people there on the trail, but it never felt super crowded at any point, except maybe at the lake itself. The larches at the top were just starting to change color, which made for a fun effect. There were some icy spots on the trail that are likely getting worse, so keep that in mind, but at the moment, it's a pretty easy and gentle hike.
