Headed out to Concrete to find some fall color and walk a hard packed trail with minimal elevation. Parked at Silo Park behind the massive Concrete Silos as you enter the town (Hwy 20 & Superior Ave intersection). A nice park and ride has been built since last out there with public restrooms. It's a very short walk to the trail from here.
Trail in good shape until we reached about two miles in and a stream has eroded the path. However, there is a work around and easy to cross now since rainy season is not full on yet. Based on other trip reports this has been an on-going problem in the wetter months.
Found a few pops of fall color here and there and a couple small hillside streams. Nothing as brilliant as previous years, but the air was fresh and company good. As usual, only a few locals walking in this area and no bikes encountered. Hope to get back soon and hit 5b's Bakery & Eatery nearby as heard good things about the place.
