Hike Rating-8. The hike starts out on the Pacific Northwest Trail (PNT) which is a 1,200 mile hike from Glacier National Park in Montana to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. I just read a book about the PNT and was delighted to walk a few miles of it. The hike starts with a strenuous climb to Oyster Dome. The views from the top are even better than advertised and provide a perfect spot for a picnic lunch. From there you walk a gentle path to Lily Lake and a gradual descent to the parking lot. There were bugs, so I recommend bug repellent. The pit toilets at the parking lot were clean and well stocked.
