Dege Peak — Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023

Foggy day for Dege Peak.  Nice easy/moderate trail in great condition.  We started at 8:45 am.  Wish we had gone later in the day to enjoy those awesome views, but it was pretty cool to hike through the blowing clouds and we lucked out with no bugs at the peak.  Instead of returning to the sunrise visitor center, we continued along Sourdough to Frozen Lake (giving us another 2 miles).  This gave time for the clouds to burn off and we enjoyed views of Rainier and Huckleberry basin in the early afternoon.
