Spectacular hike! So beautiful. The trail is rocky and wet at places. Not too steep. Need $5 cash for parking. A few parking spots left in the lot at 11 am on a weekday. A number of people on the trail but not crowded. Walked the perimeter of the lake and saw gorgeous wildflowers. Total distance is 7 miles if you walk the perimeter of the lake. Full waterfall and lots of photographers with their cameras out.

Sure, there was a sign posted on the trailhead saying “Day Use Fee Required Self Service Pay Station $5 cash per vehicle”
