Yellow Aster Butte — Saturday, Jul. 8, 2023

Did a quick overnight at the tarns.  I was worried that camping spots would be gone given the number of cars at the trailhead but most were doing day hikes.  There are a ton of places to camp at the tarns and lots of water to drink and swim in.  Not much shade. Some mosquitos but not bad.  We couldn't find the trail to the camping area as the trail takes a sharp left and then there are a series of short, exposed switch backs.  If you go left at the camping area, you can find spots with views of both Shuksan and Baker.  Great overnight backpack!!
