Many trip reports already so will keep it brief. Trailhead parking is accessible to all vehicles. Parked at the lower parking lot (there is another one just as you leave the Cle Elum Valley road). Started at 9 am and there were no cars in the lot. Weather was great in the morning so the climb was not too bad. There are a few downed trees on the trail which were easy to cross. Had lunch at the old lookout. I was carrying a heavy backpack for training, so left it there and went on left towards the Davis Peak central summit which involves a little bit of scrambling. Views were fabulous. Clear views of Lemah, Chimneys, Bears breast, Hinman, Daniel, Cathedral rock, Mt Stuart, Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier to just name a few! I was there last year, but the air was hazy from the wildfires. Could see all the way to Mt. Adams. Wildflowers including lupin were blooming. Got startled by a grouse who took off from a bush with loud flapping noise. Great trip overall.
