First trip to Cherry Creek Falls did not disappoint! We clocked about 5.3 miles in around 3 hours with an active six year old. After a few dry days, the trail was in good shape with just a few muddy spots. The trail is up and down throughout, and WTA's directions were really helpful keeping us going the right direction at the forks. We got in a decent workout with the payoff of the beautiful waterfalls at the end. Next time we'll bring a picnic to enjoy on the small beach.
We weren't sure what to expect with the creek crossing, but the water was low enough to cross easily just walking on the rocks. (Wear waterproof shoes - just in case.)
As others have noted, parking is only allowed along the road. Pay attention to no parking signs and be aware there isn't a restroom at the trailhead.
Loved this one and will be returning.
